The Supply Chain Analyst will balance forecast and customer demand against inventory levels and negotiate production schedules and supplier shipments utilizing a Supply Chain Management System. The Supply Chain Analyst will process new purchase orders and amend existing purchase orders to maintain sufficient inventory levels necessary to meet projected sales demands as well as determine appropriate warehouse destination and order quantities. This position will communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers to fulfill customer demands while maintaining reasonable inventory levels.
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for many complex items, suppliers, some with extreme scheduling and capacity constraints, and quantities that have a very significant financial impact on departments and the organization. This position is accountable for meeting goals and objectives in order to maintain the company's growth rate, while recommending process improvements to maximize inventory turns and maintain high in-stock percentages.
Primary Job Functions:
Execute the purchasing of finished goods and component materials from global manufacturers and suppliers based on the requirements of the organization
Negotiate with suppliers on the status of purchase orders, expediting, deferring or cancelling orders when necessary, and ensuring proper inventory levels to fulfill customer demands
Provide direction to global manufacturers and suppliers on dates and quantities needed for scheduling production to meet customer demands
Identify severe inventory or capacity conditions that will adversely affect customer satisfaction and communicate to management; make recommendations for solution
Generate and analyze inventory reports; make decisions and solve problems to optimize inventory based on cost and service level
Make decisions on buying or transferring product based on their knowledge of product and supplier
Evaluate the reliability of the supply chain flow to ensure product availability; make recommendations for vendor warehousing and align capacity with demand. Contribute to the planning of long- and short-term business objectives
Train suppliers on the Company's supplier websites; ensure understanding of key elements within the site and provide necessary support as needed
Positively and professionally represent the company to suppliers, communicating company needs and gathering information from them regarding their production schedules
Initiate, build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers, especially those that may impact the Supply Chain function and effectiveness
Chart, analyze and interpret key process measures
Demonstrate the Company's Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions
Job Requirements
Associate Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required
1 year experience in an office environment, Required
Buying, Planning, Inventory experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
