The Production Manager is responsible for managing all production related processes, exercises supervision of shifts supervisory staff and provided guidance for both departmental and individual development. Research and lead process improvement projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the
following. Other duties may beassigned.
1. Effectively manage company resources to maximize achievement of company and plant goals in all areas (financial, customer service, innovation, learning) while maintaining strong working relationships with the USDA.
2. Actively work to develop team for the purpose of enhancing their effectiveness in daily operations as well as to prepare them for future opportunities within the organization.
3. The above responsibilities would include (but not limited to) a mix of the activities listed below.
4. Participates in projects to ensure that they are progressing.
5. Conduct weekly supervisor meetings to provide feedback.
6. Develop and implement goals and objectives and budgets.
7. Communicate with USDA on issues related to GNP.
8. Administer company policies and procedures fairly and equitably to maintain standards established for safety, quality and overall company personnel satisfaction.
9. Investigate quality improvement methods.
10. Maintain working relationship with support staff.
11. Prepare and administer evaluations for team members.
EXPECTATIONS for ALL TEAM MEMBERS
1. Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
2. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
3. Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies such as Six Sigma, and participates in or supports the E$P program.
4. Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safety work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
Strong working knowledge of poultry production processing techniques and methods.
A Bachelor''s degree and/or comparable experience in management or a related field.
Excellent managerial and leadership skills
Strong ability to analyze and resolve complex management problems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent conflict management and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with others to identify and capitalize on opportunities that result in successful implementation of changes for the benefit of the business.
